I was impressed with the build quality of this item, the bolts threaded in without issue, and the paint coat seemed pretty high quality especially for the price. However i have 3 issues with this item... one of the correct bolts was missing (though i had two additional smaller, un-needed bolts) It appears to be a metric size that i don't have handy, so i'll have to run to the hardware store to get a replacement. There were only 2 washers included with the kit, it seems like having washers for each bolt would be beneficial to the long term looks and stability of the item, but i don't think it heavily affects the functionality. The other, perhaps biggest issue, is the interference between my disc brakes and the rack itself. With the growing popularity of disc brakes, this becomes a major issue. My Bikes will still sit in the rack, but i worry about the added stress and potential for bending my disc brakes where they contact the support cross-member. It's a shame because this unit seems so well thought out otherwise.
If you don't have disc brakes, i'd say it's a good buy at the price I paid.

By Don G.
Had high hopes for this rack based on previous reviews.
I have two Trek bikes with Disc brakes. You can NOT fit bikes with disc brakes into the rack. The disc bumps into the rail.

Ordered three of these. Two were great, one had a screw that would not screw in--the last one to go in. I contacted customer service email (no phone number listed) and no response. Tried again and five weeks later haven't heard a thing back. Contacted Amazon and they fulfill only so they would return it and let me order a new one if I disassembled it, somehow fit it back in the box it came in (which I had tossed) and mailed it back to them. It wasn't worth another hour to dis-assemble and who knows how long to get it back into the box even if I could find one so I'm just hoping it doesn't fall apart.
