By Singlespeed
I've had the small size for about four years, that's more than 15,000 miles of sun, wet, salt, and grime. I just now retired it as the Velcro is not quite sticky enough any more. The only other thing that's happened is that the rubber-like cording around the edges has become cracked, probably from UV. I was able to cram into it a tube, CO2 inflator, spare CO2 cartridge, 2 tire levels, a small patch kit, and 3 loose Allen wrenches - but it was like a puzzle getting this all in.
PROS: Mounts very securely to the rails of the saddle (until the Velcro gave out), with no swaying. The walls are lined with a slightly stiff material, so that it keeps it's shape and looks really good on the bike. And it's well made. I've had no problem with the Velcro straps rubbing or grabbing my shorts.
CONS: It's kind of small, the nose narrows significantly (the size and shape is one reason it looks good).

By Douglas Goglia
This bag is incredibly well made, and with a few changes would be top notch. However, the hook and loop closure tha fits around the seatpost eats holes in cycling shorts. After a long ride, a brand new pair of shorts were completely destroyed! Additionally, the velcro straps that fix the pack to the seat rails tend to come undone, especially when riding in rough terrain. This makes the Timbuk2 seat pack especially ill-suited for use on an MTB. Skip it.

By syl
The Velcro straps are way to short and don't create a secure attachment of the bag. They come loose very quickly when the trails turns bumpy and then the bag falls off somewhere in the woods with your expensive multi-tool & Co2 pump in it to be lost (let me just say I was glad my car key was in my jersey pocket and not the stupid bad!!!). You then have to replace a lot more than the bag. If you do any off road cycling, don't buy a saddle bag that does not have a full loop attachment system!
